Lovely close encounter with a Pied Flycatcher earlier plus 8 Redstarts, during a longish walk. Also hiked to the top of Bryn Rhudd at 480m where, unsurprisingly, there were considerable numbers of Skylarks/Meadow Pipits in a ratio of about 1/3 it seemed. Sadly, due to my advancing years, before setting off I felt it prudent to inform my family of my intended whereabouts, just in case I didn't make it back for lunch.
