Along the Cletwr

A morning out with Paul Bennett.  A quick stop at Ynyslas brought only five Dunlin and two Ringed Plovers so we continued to the Cletwr.  On arrival.Paul heard the first of two Willow Warblers.  After great views of it we walked along the river to the railway bridge.  Skylarks singing and Lapwings displaying, and f Marsh Harrier and distant yaffling Green Woodpecker both picked up first by Paul.  I then did my bit, finding a Little Ringed Plover on the riverbank.

We then split up, Paul to Ynys-hir, me to the Glandyfi lay-by where I saw very little but was consoled by views of both Ospreys on the nest.

PS  Paul got a stunning male Pied Flycatcher at Ynys-,hir
