Willow warbling

Now the tourist season has started for real and the section of coast path between Aberporth and Tresaith is only bearable in the early hours of the morning it was a lovely surprise to come across a fall of Willow Warblers today, feeding and singing in the vegetation along the path. Two of the three pairs of Oystercatchers we have been watching in their breeding and chick-raising efforts over the past seasons are back in their usual spots along the cliffs, with one pair mating. Also, two Choughs appear to have made this bit of coast their regular haunt. Linnets are back and 7 Common Scoters remain from a maximum of around 60 back in January. Last night, we had the first Blackcap of the year at Coed Maidie B. Great post the other day Aline!
