Since there have been a number of posts recently of sightings in Llanrhystud, Llansantffraed and Llanon, I thought it was a good time, in the interest of the accurate recording of the location of sightings, to inform people of the location of the parish boundary along the coast between Llanrhystud and Llansantffraed.
The boundary is located a few hundred yards to the north of the limekilns. It runs inland along the south side of the water channel/ditch located immediately to the south of the flooded field. The Llanrhystud beach car park is therefore quite close to the parish boundary.
So, to give two examples:
All sightings at the limekilns are in Llansantffraed.
All sightings of the two presumed American Golden Plover in October 2022 (not accepted by the Welsh Birds Rarities Committee) were on Llansantffraed beach.
