A damp high tide yesterday afternoon at Ynyslas produced a flock of about 50 Golden Plover on the mud near the Tern posts with a few Dunlin scuttling about them. A few late Swallows headed south over the fields while a Wheatear fed along the strand. The winter Starling flock is building up with at least 200 birds in the area.
