Chiffchaff in Aberystwyth

My first Chiffchaff of the year was singing in the willows along the railway line, behind the Assembly Government office in Park Avenue this morning. My desk is by the windows overlooking the railway, and ever since moving in last autumn I've been thinking what a good spot it would be for warblers come the spring! "Pussy willow" buds just starting to open now too.

I reckon the playing fields beyond would be excellent for a stray Hoopoe.....but that might be a bit too ambitious!

This afternoon at Cenarth there were a couple of Dippers chasing round very excitedly (and a large Salmon moving up-river close to the bank).
