just to let you know the Dyfi Osprey Project opened its doors for the first time again today. It was wonderful to see so many familiar and friendly faces as well a sparrowhawk circling over the hide and an early swallow; a few calling chiffchaffs also and a splendid red kite being mobbed by some corvids. Good News..The Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust has just been awarded a significant amount of core funding to run the project for another four years. That means that you've got Alwyn, Janine and myself, as well as a host of local volunteers to put up with for some time to come!
No ospreys just yet - it's a bit early but plenty to see on the Cors Dyfi reserve where we are situated. Looking forward to meeting many of you over the summer and as soon we have any sightings of ospreys, I'll be sure to post them on here.
