Exciting news from Jim Marshall

From the Observatory.
Friday April 2nd. Oystercatchers in riotous, rowdy mode opposite Gogarth and Frongoch: Why?
Just as we adjourn to dinner, in poor light and visibility 18.43hrs.TWO OSPREYS!!?Circling the estuary westward and back as far as the Einion outflow and Glandyfi.

Sunday April 4th. 09.43hrs. abig beautiful, full plummaged Osprey came slowly circling up river via Glandyfi and Ynys hir. Variously hovering at height from time to time. Hovering twice and lowering close to the observatory.Moved off up river, then to strike with spectacular success at a large fish, then to carry it westwards.The excitement continues!
