About 200 golden plover and 1 knot were roosting on the shingle at Ynyslas Point this evening. 3 whimbrel were on the sandbanks and a flock of 48 whimbrel and 5 bar-tailed godwits flew over the estuary and out to sea. Between 6.05 and 6.15 an osprey moved across the estuary from Aberdyfi to the information centre at Ynyslas and back to the estuary to dive for fish. It then had to dive for cover thanks to a passing microlight and wasn't seen again.
