I will shortly be visiting Ethiopia for a short birding trip (from 9th February). Used binoculars which are still servicable are always welcomed in countries not as rich as ours. For example, I took a couple of pairs recently to Gujurat where they are being used for training purposes with local villagers at an Ecological Research Centre.
I have one old pair to take to Ethiopia but if anybody has either binoculars or scopes which they no longer use and which they would like to donate 'for a good cause' I will take them with me and ensure they are put to good use. I live in Aberaeron but am obviously willing to pick up at anywhere at your convenience.
