Water Rail

Our walk along Aber seafront today was quite devoid of birds, other
than the usual stuff. Although we did see 6 Great crested grebes (1 in
the usual spot by the pier, and the other 5 were in a group together,
out at sea, off Castle Point)
We then proceeded to Plascrug to try and find the Water rail. We
were walking along the ditch, and as Ian was pointing out a bathing
Blackbird to me, I saw (out of the corner of my eye) the Water rail
scuttling away under a holly bush in the ditch - we waited for about
20 minutes for it to reappear, so that I could get this photo! :)
