Aberaeron Golden Eagle?

I received a phonecall this evening from a friend in Aberaeron saying that his wife had seen a "huge bird with a ring on its leg in their garden in Tabernacle Street, Aberaeron. at 11.00, today, 14 March. The bird was eyeing up the rabbit in the cage. It landed on the lawn and then perched on a nearby roof for about five minutes before flying off." (Pity the wife did not phone nme immediately but never mind..!) She googled - not sure what - and came to the conclusion that it was a Golden Eagle. This identification may obviously have been influenced by the Pontrhydygroes GE being on the web - who knows?! (Bear in mind the Hooded Vulture in Aberaeron in 2009!).
Anybody else seen large raptors ion the area?
