Ysbyty Cyfyn

I had a very enjoyable walk here this morning in almost spring like weather.
By the church I saw a pair of yellowhammers who obviously felt that the season
is changing and were chasing furiously among the gravestones. I shall return
soon to listen for singing. A fieldfare feeding in the field next to the church
reminded me that we may still have some winter to come. On the rough hill
slope I saw a single meadow pipit - the first of many I'm sure. All the usual
woodland species were singing and I had the place to myself- what more could I
ask?

At home I have a very smart male reed bunting in summer plumage at the
feeding station.
