Further to reports of successful breeding at Ystumtuen I found a female with 6 new chicks on the private farm pond above where we live nr Tregaron. I've not recorded them there before and their survival may be enhanced by the absence of the usual kites adjacent.
Still got spotties in the nest tho the other pair have fledged their young. Only 2 pairs of house martins this year and a pair of swallows still raising a first brood.
