At 16.35 this afternoon the youngest and only female in the Dyfi osprey nest fledged, she was 57 days and 6 hours old - quite long for a first flight, even for a female. Two first time breeding ospreys have fledged three young on the Dyfi this year - if you would have told me that four months ago I wouldn't have believed you!
