weasel watching

Must confess to a little jealousy reading all the interesting things on the blog. School summer holidays are not a good time for me to be out birding so I must appreciate other bits and bobs as they occur. This morning Tomos and myself were lucky enough to see a weasel scampering about in the middle of Lampeter. We watched it for several minutes exploring shop entrances, drains and so on. It slipped under the doors of the yard at the pub, out again, in front of the bank and across to the bus stop (causing the good citizens of the town to scatter) before finally disappearing down a side alley. Hopefully it wasn't terrified. It certainly didn't appear frightened. Tomos and myself were delighted to see it though a woman close by was screeching hysterically as if satan himself had become manifest amongst us.
