The black redstart at the Castle in Aber is ringed and, thanks to some fantastic pics from Janet, Tony Cross was able to id it as the one he ringed in Dec 2010 thus proving the site fidelity of at least this winter visitor.

It might seem intrusive to go out in the fields at night netting goldies whilst they feed but the information gained is vital when the siting of windfarms is being considered and there is hardly a hilltop in Wales that is not being looked at for those.
