A dropping tide at Ynys-hir

At the Breakwater hide at 10.30am and the tide was already some way out. Scanning through the telescope there were lots of small waders out on the mud and sand though all were very distant. Zooming up to X60 I was able to pick out 3 turnstone, 27 sanderling, 43 knot, 220 ringed plover and some 400 dunlin. At this extreme range there was little chance of picking out anything unusual. An osprey drifting over the river was nice too.
