Earlier this year 'our' swallows were robbed out by Magpies. Since then the male has spent most of the summer alone. About 2 weeks ago there was what seemed to be a lot of 'spring' courting action, which i discounted, only to discover to my surprise, the old nest was occupied and the hen bird is sitting. Let's hope they have a good Indian summer!
