In Aber harbour this afternoon (Thursday 30th) was a single common gull amongst the usual herring and black headed gulls, also in the harbour was a single cormorant and a pair of shag.

Offshore at Borth a large pod of dolphins where hunting and playing (hard to estimate numbers, 30 or so), also 11 red throated divers, oyster catcher, a dozen common scoter, and large flock of herring gulls.

Hunting in the fields near the railway crossing near the mouth of the Lerri was a barn owl which showed well for 2-3 minutes before heading back towards Borth (around 5 oclock). Also in the area was a hunting sparrowhawk and a grey heron.
