Waxwings

About 26 Waxwings still at Mach Saturday at about 12.30 flitting between birch tree and berries across the road. An hour later, after a shop in the Co-op and excellent fish and chips from nearby Hennigans, they had gone but probably not far.

I have been spending some time in the Wirral, where highlights were thousands of knots at Hoylake high tides, kestrels on Christmas lights at Parkgate and black-tailed godwits at the new Burton Mere reserve - only two and a half hours away.
