Ynyslas turn yesterday

Managing to escape from compulsory Christmas shopping for an hour I headed to the calm of Ynyslas turn. Off-shore were good numbers of common scoter (250), Great crested grebes (27) and red-throated divers (36). Rather nice were two close in black-throated divers, possibly the same two that John Davis saw there in November.
