A striking drake goldeneye together with a tufted duck on the reservoir at Cwm Rheidol were just in the sun today, no wind and the surface like a mirror, makes a change from yesterday ! I also came across a field full of Lapwing on the back road between Aberarth and Pennant last Wednesday, there must have been at least 100 birds.
