There was a green woodpecker flying in front of the car this afternoon (Sat) in the upper Teifi valley. I did hear one calling a few years ago very close to Pontrhydfendigaid (Bont). Todays bird was on the lane a few miles up from Strata Florida, past the water works, near the rocky outcrop on the right.
On Friday night I came across a dead otter on the road just outside Bont, on the road to Tregaron. Such a shame!
