Conditions were not easy at Ynyslas this morning, the strong, off-shore breeze made it very difficult to keep my telescope steady and when the rain did come it was freezing. Nevertheless there were some cracking birds - presumably the same drake Eider first spotted by Chris Bird a few days ago put in another appearance and there was a Great Northern Diver in the channel. A Skylark making unsteady progress in the wind came within a few feet of me and a female Kestrel put a few waders up from the salt-grass.
