Alerted by a skylark singing a few notes in the sky over Ynys Las dunes we looked up to see it was in response to a merlin attack! A fascinating battle ensued with the skylark evading capture at seemingly the last moment at least a dozen times and then they disappeared behind a dune...
Loads of water in the dune slacks and over the road near the beach which seemed unusual to us as were the occasional ray of sunshine and absence of wind down the estuary!
