Breeding Peregrines?
Managed to drag my reluctant 7 year old out for a walk this morning and we were rewarded by seeing two Peregrines swooping about and diving at some crows. He's seen them on television before but these were the first 'real ones'. The sight of them in attack mode added to his enjoyment hugely, of course. This was all happening not too far from where I live. They settled for a while on a cliff face of a disused quarry which could quite possibly be a nest site. Maybe a site that has been overlooked? I wondered if there is a team of people locally who monitor breeding Peregrines who I could notify of the location in case this is so? No Chiffchaffs singing in the woods near me yet.
