Sightings from Andy Polkey

A few things to put on the blog from an enjoyable if extremely cold wildfowl & wader count at Cors Caron today.

Brief glimpse of a bittern dissappearing from right in front of the main hide, it only went a short distance & dropped in on one of the ponds on the north side of the boardwalk to the hide. One little egret and a total of six whoopers on the river - would be visible if one does the Riverside walk.

Also twelve pink feets with the hundred plus Canadas and twelve greylags on the grassland bordering the Teifi , downstream of the A485, visible from a minor road.

And a few still (due to the lack of rain recently) bits of the Teifi with a thin skim of ice from bank to bank, amazing to see!
