I went looking for the spoonbill at Ynys-Hir but no joy after a few hours of searching. Next on to the Clettwr and picked up a ringtail harrier and 3 redshank but still no target bird. Next on to the Leri Boatyard and looking down river, there was the spoonbill, feeding 200 yards away, a first for me. Also saw a female merlin, kestrel and the water pipit was in the usual spot.
