Before I forget, yesterday morning John, Harry and I had a walk around Ynys-hir. There wasn't much to be seen (although we did bump into a visitor who had seen a Lesser-spotted Woodpecker) so we went on to Ynyslas. From the Turn Car Park we saw probably 100 or so Common Scoter and 1 Velvet. We also had good views of the Water Pipit that has been hanging around for some time now. As we drove out of the car park we stopped to look at another Water Pipit, a different individual to the long stayer. The second bird hadn't got any colouring on its breast, it was very light underneath and it's supercileum was not as prominent as the first bird.
