There was a cuckoo calling this evening at the Ystrad Meurig end of Cors Caron and 6 grasshopper warblers reeling. Also a pair of goshawk. A male sparrowhawk flew close by. Pairs of; displaying lapwing, curlew calling, stonechat, mistle thrush, stock dove. At least a dozen willow warbler and similar meadow pipit. A skylark singing away too.
