It was a bit damp as we trudged along the track at Tan-y-Bwlch this afternoon, and visibility was limited, but at the southern end of the footpath we saw a group of c50 House Martins which were obviously finding food overhead. I'm used to seeing quite large numbers of Sand Martins nearby but I've not seen this many House Martins before. There were also 7or 8 Wheatears along the walk and we heard but didn't see a Chough.
