Harry and I met at the Turn Car Park this morning and watched a very rough sea from the sheltered side of the pillbox. We saw a few Manxies, Common Scoter, Red throated Divers, Great crested Grebe, Gannet and Razorbills and a small passage of Swallows and a single Fulmar. When we went to the beach car park we bumped into several birding friends and watched c60 Golden Plover on the shingle with 20+ Ringed Plover, 4 or 5 Sanderling and a similar number of Dunlin. We also saw 6 or 7 Sandwich Terns, 3or 4 Arctics and a couple of Common.
Later at Ynys-hir we saw our first Redstart of the year, a splendid male and 7 or 8 Chiffchaff and Willow Warblers.
