Two little terns at Ynyslas this morning, going north about 8.30 am. Good numbers of dunlin and ringed plover and at least one summer plumage sanderling.
Yesterday on my BBS square above Tal-y-bont it was clear that many of the summer visitors had not yet arrived. No whinchat, grasshopper or sedge warbler and only one willow. Quite a few wheatear as usual but I don’t expect they will stay. Cuckoo heard.
