Sitting on the front in Aberaeron this evening watching the manxies streaming past, heading south. 6 x1 minute counts gave us the figure of approx 4,900/ hour. However at that point one is sat pretty low down and we could see that there were many much further out that were too far to count.
Maybe a higher viewpoint would give a more accurate figure; but it was fun anyway!
