Early this morning I managed to arrive at the waiting room in time to see an overnight visitor having breakfast around the edge of the flash.
A few teal were there with some young I think; they took off whilst I was manoeuvering to get a view around the big birch bush in the middle of the window and were sensitive to any movement even from inside the building which is a good thing given that they can be legally shot from Sept 2nd, and although not many duckshoots start that early in the UK, the French await the start of their season eagerly as we saw in the Baie de Somme a couple of years ago.
