A different view

This afternoon I paid my first visit to the newly opened lay-by overlooking the river close to Dyfi Junction.  The first thing I noticed was the abundance of butterflies - there are lots of buddleia bushes there to attract them.  Along most of the footpath at present the view is obscured by the vegetation, and further along unless you are six-foot-plus you will have a job to see over the wall - it will be ok for you Red.  But there are gaps which allow splendid views over the section of river and Saltings which I've only ever seen before from Domenlas Hide at Ynys-hir.  There's also a pretty good view of the osprey nesting platform.  Once autumn arrives and the leaves drop we should get even better views.  I think it could be a good spot to watch for winter wildfowl, waders and raptors.
