Garganey

Following a phone call from Mike Bailey that there were 4 white-fronts on Penrhyngerwin yesterday I went down to the Ynys Feurig hide at Ynys-hir which has good views over that area (though 40X telescope lens required). No white-fronts but on the flooded field in front of the hide was a female garganey (along with 800+ teal, 250 wigeon and 500+ mallard). Also there were 9 black-tailed godwits, 22 shoveler and a few pintail.
