Prom this morning

We both braved the wind on Prom this morning and were rewarded with one lonely Purple Sandpiper on the rocks at Castle Point, four Ringed Plovers on the rocks opposite Old College, four Cormorants just off South Beach and two more Purps in the company of about twenty Turnstones near the pier. Later, on the Ystwyth near the football ground, there were a female Goosander and a Grey Wagtail. Highlights in our garden on the Buarth were a male Great Spotted Woodpecker and six Long Tailed Tits. Twenty-eight species so far gets the New Year off to a flying start.
