George Monbiot's plea for restoring wilderness areas may be happening at Borth already as the waves overtopped the wall and swept a considerable tonnage of rocks, pebbles,plastic and sea-water all over the golf course. We were on our way to see how Janet had fared but a short stretch of deep water had claimed 3 vehicles so we deferred. The sand dunes beyond the Turn CP looked to have taken a hammering also.
On the new clean beach were 12 Sanderling, 1 Dunlin and 6 Ringed Plover, all immaculate of course.
