Swept away
Hadn't been to Llanrhystud for a while and haven't noticed anything on the blog. I don't know why but when I got there this morning I was taken aback by the destruction and change. The fencing is destroyed from the caravan park almost to the lime kilns. Wooden posts are strewn everywhere, sometimes a hundred yards inland. The elevated ridge is horizontal in places. A small stream now dissects the beach. There was a notable flock of 33 Redshank present. 60 Oystercatcher included the leucistic bird. Also, 150 Curlew, 9 Turnstone, 2 Snipe, 300 BH Gulls, 150 Common Gulls.
