Encouraged by Russell's recent posting I went to Ynys-hir at high tide this morning and started at the new hide overlooking the Breakwater fields. There were masses of birds on view including a couple of Greenshanks, the Spotted Redshank and a juv. Peregrine perched on the railway line.
I then went to the Saltings hide and eventually found the Water Pipit by the pools behind the hide, together with several Meadow Pipits.
Well worth the visit!
