A FLYING VISIT

Just a short family visit last week visiting my old favourite haunts especially Tanybwlch and Ynyslas. Just a few pics of typical birds at this time of year.

The barnacles were on tanybwlch beach on a driftwood box, i wonder how long it took for these to grow! A nice family of rock pipits on clarach beach. About 40 dunlin on the allowed close contact and the 108 sandwich terns near the leri are always exciting to watch, Along with 3 red knot, 8 sanderling and a red black tailed godwit near the saltings path on the way home in twilight. A painted lady on tanybwlch was my first this year along with 4 juv wheatears and 3 juv stonechats ended a wonderful short stay.
