Sightings from Elliot Montieth
I’m back in the
area for the next 10 days now until I have to go back off and work on my 5th
Photography Exhibition. Today I went off on a walk around the Hills behind the
Wildfowler Pub, which I was hoping it would produce some Flycatchers and
Redstarts, as I’m missing out on Bee-eaters, Sabine’s Gull (sp) and Ring-billed
Gull back at home. As usual I wasn’t disappointed, on the 3hr trek I spotted 1
female Pied-Flycatcher, 1 Juv Grey Wagtail, 1 Wheatear, 5+ Redstarts (2c family
groups), 2 family groups of Stonechat and a family group of Spotted Flycatchers
along with some breathtaking views of the Dyfi Estuary along with 10+
Buzzards, one of which was a pale form.
