I know it's not Ceredigion but thought that fellow birders might like to share yesterday's experience. We were at Hoylake on the Wirral yesterday when a sparrowhawk appeared on the lawn eating a feral pigeon. After 5 minutes it flew off, probably because I hadn't its permission to take its photo. Five minutes later, we went out to look at the bloody victim and IT FLEW OFF. I went white.
A great place on the Dee Estuary on high tides for large flocks of knot, dunlin, oystercatchers etc.
