Lifted spirits

Recent visits to the coast have been rather bird less for me personally so it was almost a relief to see so many good birds this morning in the area immediately south of the Llangeitho/Stags Head road. A pair of Marsh Tits were along Nant Brynmaen and a pair of Willow Tits in the area where Nant Meidrum peters out. Both these pairs were just a hundred yards from where I saw them earlier in the winter. In the same field as the Willows I was surprised to see a pair of Stonechats, which could conceivably breed in the habitat thereabouts I think, but may just be in transit. Other good birds noted were; Tawny Owl, Woodcock, Stock Dove and a flock of 19 Teal on a small pool.
