March Cors Caron WeBS count

Did this in glorious sunshine yesterday. Fairly quiet and some winter visitors gone. No harriers or whoopers. highlights were 24 curlew - probably birds returning to breed on site, and 78 lapwing, of which two dozen plus looked to be holding territory, the rest appeared to be a feeding flock only. There were three snow geese with the Canadas and greylags on the floodplain farmland downstream of the NNR.
Thanks to angie, Karen, Aline and Elaine for doing the northern section of the count - and I'm envious of their sand martin!
