Redstart Lurve

Kev mentions that the male will be chasing the female in a months time. Quite possibly, but I just wondered if they are a breeding pair that are overwintering together? Is that usual for Black Redstarts? Or are they completely unrelated individuals that happen to be wintering on the same rooftops? Do we know?
