Shades of grey!

The Black Redstarts won't be an established pair as the female is less than 12 months old. The photos show a mix of at least 7 juvenile outer greater coverts - brown edged and pale tipped that contrast with the adult type, greyer edged/tipped greater coverts, that would have been moulted in last autumn. So there you go, they're not a pair but as the weather warms up who knows??
