Borth, Ynyslas and Glandwr

Not a bird to be seen at sea from the lifeboat station in Borth, but the nearest reef held a Turnstone and a Purple Sandpiper. A few Swallows seen from the car on the way to Ynyslas.
At Ynyslas, a late dark-bellied Brent Goose and signs of wader passage with 33 Ringed Plover, three Dunlin, two Turnstones, a Whimbrel and a Black-tailed Godwit.
A little party of Sand Martins went north.
I decided on a walk to Glandwr, picking up my first House Martins on the way.  Singing Willow Warbler and Skylark also on the approach, as were four Wheatears and a couple of Linnets.
At the pools, eight Teal, four Redshank and a Little Egret.
A pair of Shoveler flew in and around the pools but didn't land.
Walking back I met Bob and Roy, who were on their way to look for a Cetti's Warbler which Bob had heard. As we arrived at the spot the bird confirmed it's presence with a burst of song which was repeated several times as we sat patiently hoping for a glimpse.  Not a chance.
